Helen Sitlington is a Senior Associate with The Futures Group. For more than two decades she has held senior positions in the fields of human resource management and industrial relations in a variety of service-based organisations.

As most of these roles were in the public sector, Helen experienced significant periods of upheaval and change, taking a lead role in these change processes. She has recently completed a PhD in HRM researching the impact of restructuring and downsizing on retention of knowledge and informal networks in organisations and subsequent organisational effectiveness. She has also lectured in strategic human resource management, employment and industrial relations at Edith Cowan and Curtin Universities. Her particular areas of research interest are workplace investigations, EBA and industrial relations advice and organisational restructuring, Helen is also highly experienced in policy development, implementation and evaluation and has had extensive involvement in strategic planning in senior management positions.

Helen works with clients undertaking a wide range of human resource management and industrial relations projects including strategic planning, business research, organisational restructuring, work design and evaluation, group facilitation, administrative review and conciliation and mediation.

Helen has spent much of her career in the public sector and has also been involved in a number of small businesses. This valuable mix of academic, public and private sector knowledge and experience gives her the ability to understand and work with organisations of all sizes and across all industries. She now uses this valuable experience in her role as senior associate with The Futures Group.
