Investigation-Large Public Sector Organisation
Following a number of verbal complaints from a range of staff a preliminary review was undertaken by The Futures Group (TFG) to establish whether the matters warranted a formal investigation and the complainants were willing to make a formal complaint.
TFG was also asked to obtain feedback on the organisational culture and some key HR practices and following a number of preliminary interviews that established there were sufficient grounds to undertake a formal investigation. TFG interviewed a range of witnesses and reviewed relevant policies and practices and made a number of recommendations to prevent future risk in relation to the workplace culture, behaviours and some internal practices.
A final report was prepared with detailed evidence substantiating a number of claims and clearly identifying where it could not be established or substantiated. It was clearly established that the culture of the organisation, at the time was a clear contributing factor that facilitated and turned a blind eye to some poor and inappropriate behaviour demonstrated by some senior managers.
Recommendations were made at an organisational and functional level concerning the culture and some internal processes.
