Investigation-Health Sector
Allegations had been raised regarding a campus with approximately 30 employees and 10 to 15 in-patient beds that nursing staff could not be retained due to bullying by management. Questions in Parliament were raised alleging beds were being closed in the ward due to this problem and patients were being turned away.
After scoping the issue with senior health sector management, The Futures Group held confidential meetings with each employee and all managers involved, including some who had already resigned, to clarify their experiences and concerns. The consultant identified the key common issues and other areas of concern.
A detailed report was provided, which outlined the issues, concerns and recommended actions to rectify the situation. The consultant presented this information to management and the report was later requested by the opposition spokesperson.
